How we verify the pros

We want you to hire with confidence. Here is exactly what we verify about each pro, what each badge means — and, just as clearly, what we do NOT do.

Identity document against official registries

At registration, each professional can present their document: DNI (8 digits), RUC (11 digits) or Carné de Extranjería (CE).

DNI and RUC are checked against the official RENIEC and SUNAT registries; CE, through a document-verification service. The 🛡️ Verified badge is granted only when the registry confirms the document; if it cannot be confirmed, the profile stays without the badge.

• One document, one profile: the same document cannot be used twice.
• With a RUC we also verify the business name registered at SUNAT.
• The document number is stored encrypted and is never shown publicly.
• In sensitive categories — such as caregiving or at-home health — the document cannot be skipped: presenting one is mandatory to register. Even then, the 🛡️ badge only appears if the official registry confirms it.

Their WhatsApp number identifies them too

Every pro registers from their own WhatsApp. In Peru, every mobile line must be registered with an identity document at the carrier (regulation overseen by OSIPTEL), so the number itself is already tied to a person.

What each badge means

• 🛡️ Verified — Their document (DNI, RUC or CE) was confirmed in the official registries.
• 📜 Certified — The professional submitted a trade certificate and our team manually reviewed and approved it. Uploading alone is not enough: no approved review, no badge.
• 🔧 Authorized gas installer — Listed in OSINERGMIN's public registry of gas installers. If their registration has expired, we show that too.
• 🤝 Champi Connection — A mark on a review: that client and that pro were connected through Champi — the contact behind the review went through us.

Client reviews

Reviews follow simple rules:

• Each client can leave only one review per professional.
• Reviews are anonymous: we never publish client data.
• The profile shows all reviews — we do not hide the bad ones.

What we do NOT do

Being clear about the limits is part of your safety too:

• We do not run criminal or police background checks.
• We do not do biometric verification or in-person visits.
• We do not guarantee the quality, price or completion of any job. The badge confirms identity, not quality.
• Unverified professionals may appear — you can tell because they carry no 🛡️ badge.
• Champi does not employ or supervise the pros: you contract directly with them.

Before hiring, check for yourself

1. Read the reviews, especially those marked 🤝 Champi Connection.
2. Ask for photos of previous jobs or references.
3. Agree on price, scope and deadlines in writing (the WhatsApp chat itself works).
4. If something goes wrong, report it: you have the Complaints Book and our WhatsApp.
